In the interests of safety for all, membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is able to swim 50m in light clothing. Full details of the Club Operating & Safety Procedures can be found here.
There are two membership levels available, the benefits of which are summarised in the table. Most people join as Full Members.
Basic membership is aimed at individuals who either live outside London and cannot regularly make the weekly Thames session and / or have their own boats and equipment.

The Club’s membership year runs from the 1st March to the end of February.
Fees are as follows:
- Full Membership costs £108 (£102 early bird rate up to 31st March, £65** after the 1st September) (**This does not include the Discover course);
- Basic Membership costs £49;
